On August 3, 2024, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (UMP-HCM) organized its annual 2024 management conference with the theme "Training on Strategic Planning for the 2025-2030 Period" in Thua Thien Hue Province.

The confrence was honored to welcome Assoc Prof Dr Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Director of the HCMC Department of Food Safety, and Assoc Prof Dr Le Quang Minh, former Director of the University Management Institute at Vietnam National University-HCM.

Representing UMP-HCM were Prof Dr Tran Diep Tuan, Secretary of the University Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, Assoc Prof Dr Ngo Quoc Dat, Managing Vice President, Assoc Prof Dr Nguyen Van Chinh, Vice President, along with esteemed lecturers in the Party Committee, members of the University Council, and leaders of units affiliated with UMP-HCM.

The conference featured a presentation by Assoc Prof Dr Le Quang Minh, former Director of the University Management Institute at Vietnam National University-HCM, on reviewing and evaluating the mission, vision, core values, and educational philosophy of UMP-HCM for the period 2020-2025, thereby providing appropriate orientations for adjustments to the strategic development plan of the university for the 2025-2030 period. Participants were then divided into four groups to discuss and propose relevant suggestions.

In his concluding remarks, Prof Dr Tran Diep Tuan, Secretary of the University Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, acknowledged and commended the enthusiastic participation and valuable contributions of the attendees. He also directed the continued organization of discussions and the collection of input from the University's units in the coming period to summarize the key contents, thereby contributing to the successful development of the strategic plan of UMP-HCM in the new phase.

The second part of the conference will be held at Lecture Hall 3C, UMP-HCM, on August 6, 2024.
